Why we’re building sherpa
External work is now a core part of how enterprises get things done: contingent labor, freelancers, agencies, suppliers, and a fast-growing layer of AI agents. Yet the tools that manage it, legacy VMS and MSP, were built for a world of manual coordination and static reporting. They’re expensive, slow to adopt, and blind to most of the spend.
sherpa replaces that stack with an AI operating system: agents that classify, engage, pay, and stay compliant across every kind of worker, human and agentic, and run the program end to end. We started in Munich in 2026 and build in the open with a handful of enterprise design partners, shipping against real engagements instead of slideware.
